Here’s the thing: garden rooms have always added value to a property, but in the last year this has skyrocketed - with more and more people working from home as the norm. Some experts predict that garden rooms can increase the value of your home by 15%.
“We found one of our customers sold their house for £50,000 more than their neighbour who had exactly the same property, all because they had a bespoke garden room. That was back in 2016 so I’m sure that figure is a lot higher now,” says Jim, co-founder of Inside Out Oxford.
Investing in a garden room not only adds value to a property but also saleability, so when it comes to move house, you are more likely to sell your home quicker - and for a higher price than your neighbour who doesn’t have a garden room.
